I’ve had this for 4 years at my (waterless) cabin, and it works very well. The water we use comes off the roof into a rain barrel, and it was easy to adapt the pump to screw into the rain barrel. We do have power inside the cabin, so recharging the battery is easy. Our battery lasts for about a month of quick showers, and I have noticed that after 4 years, it doesn’t hold a charge quite as well. In the cold, the battery needs recharging more quickly. I use this every evening, 4 months of the year, for a quick 2 gallon shower.
A small propane cylinder lasts about 3 weeks of daily showers. The propane heats up the water very quickly–usually in 3 seconds. I avoid wasting that water by putting the hose in a bucket for those 3 seconds; then I pour the bucket of cold water back into the rain barrel. Simple.
The water temperature can get extremely hot, so do be cautious.
I give this machine my highest recommendation.
