I had to replace a very poor quality and very unreliable on demand water heater that only worked about 25% of the time. I did a lot of research on several different units and this one seemed to get the best reviews. It’s so nice to turn on the hot water and actually get hot water. Since this replaced an existing unit the install wasn’t too difficult. Had to run another wire from the box. I live in the Sacramento valley in Nor Cal. Have a 2 bedroom, 1 bath with dishwasher and wash machine and this keeps up. I don’t even have the temp turned up all the way. Excellent unit and very reliable. I did put a filter on the line before it goes into the heater. I have mine installed in the attic. With the unit I had before I would have to turn down the water coming into the house just to run a warm bath and the water would trickle out. I have one of those single faucets so I can’t really adjust the speed the hot water comes out. The Stiebel does the adjusting for you. Now I don’t have to mess with turning down the main water line into the house. I can leave it on full blast for the lower flow faucets and the heater automatically adjusted the flow when I fill the bath. It runs fairly fast coming out of the bath faucet and is nice and warm. I am very pleased with this unit and it’s perfectly sized for my needs.
